Purpose
The Product Specialist – Clinical Sales role supports the sales process as a subject matter expert with clinical and operating theatre knowledge.

Activities and responsibilities
- Is an expert on the market, including knowing all of whom are buyers, how they buy and why - consistently gathering and sharing useful insights (market/customer/competitor) with the local team to facilitate market-share growth
- Supports sales team to achieve overall sales growth targets
- Educates customers on the use and clinical application of products
- Provides product training to internal and external stakeholders
- Provide product demonstrations and clinical support during product trials
- Analyses the competitive marketplace and industry trends
- Collects first-hand customer feedback on products and use this information for improvement
- Drives local campaigns/portfolio marketing support in partnership with the local marketing manager to ensure campaign KPIs are met
- Is portfolio lead on local and national tenders; provide relevant portfolio information in a timely manner to enable the business to meet tender submission time frame and maximize success
- Manages product tests and trials in cooperation with clinical sales
- Builds strong relationship with our partners in the operating theatre
Basic salary: 3000€
Job requirements
- Completed nursing and/or medical training
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as an Operating Theatre Nurse
- Technical knowledge of medical products for hospital use
- High understanding of the medical industry, including terminology, (public) hospital purchasing dynamics, technology, government regulations etc.
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills; ability to articulate ideas and support them with sound arguments
- Ability to forge strong relationships in a clinical setting
- Strong sense of responsibility
- Critical thinking and open to making continuous improvements
- High degree of independence and a self-starter
- Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, changing, highly demanding environment
- Fluent in English and the local language
- Willingness to travel to clinics and healthcare facilities
- Driving license
